Katy Perry Fails to Match Michael Jackson Chart Record

Katy Perry has been unsuccesful in her bid to match a US chart record set by Michael Jackson.

Having had the first four singles from her latest album ‘Teenage Dream’ go straight to Number One, Katy was on course to match MJ’s record of five number one’s from the same album. However, ‘Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) failed to hit the top spot and left the record untouched.

Instead, Last Friday Night’ could only make Number Four, lagging behind Pitbull, Adele and LMFAO on the Billboard Hot 100.

Michael Jackson famously set the initial record with his album ‘Bad’ in 1987.

Katy Perry non ha avuto successo nel suo tentativo di corrispondere a un record chart statunitense di Michael Jackson.
Avendo avuto i primi quattro singoli di 'Teenage Dream' il suo ultimo album che sono andati direttamente al Numero Uno, Katy è sulla buona strada per eguagliare il record di MJ di cinque numero uno dallo stesso album. Tuttavia, Last Friday Night (TGIF) non è riuscito ad imporsi al primo posto e ha lasciato il record di intatto.
