Attack of the Propofol Expert

It's Swiss cheese time in the Conrad Murray trial ... because the prosecution is gunning to poke all sorts of holes in the testimony of a Propofol expert who claims Michael Jackson self-injected himself with the fatal dose.

Dr. Paul White is back on the stand. He's the final defense witness.

Closing statements are expected to begin this week -- then it's all up to the jury.
* During an aggressive cross examination, prosecutor David Walgren got Dr. White to acknowledge that Murray deviated from the standard of care when he gave MJ Propofol.
* White told prosecutors he's never heard of anyone administering Propofol at a home setting.
* White said it's "desirable" to keep medical records but did not think Murray's failure to keep records was an "extreme" deviation from the standard of care.
* White told Walgren he's been paid $11,000 for his testimony so far. He said his usual fee is $3,500 a day.
* White said he had no problem leaving a patient's bedside 15-30 minutes after giving them a small dose of Propofol.
* White agreed he would not leave the room if he were treating a patient who had indicated he liked to inject himself with Propofol.
* White said he would have called 911 sooner but he didn't it would have made any difference in this case.
* During a particularly contentious moment, Walgren asked White whether Murray had an obligation to report all the drugs he administered to MJ. White said sometimes, in cases of emergency, details are "overlooked." Walgren then asked whether Propofol was "a detail that was overlooked?" White answered, "Obviously it was overlooked"... Walgren shot back, "Not obviously... It could also be a lie." White acknowledged that yes, It's was possible.



* White testified he now rejects his initial theory that MJ may have died from drinking Propofol.
* White said he wrote that opinion in a preliminary report which he wrote in 2 days. Walgren asked him to find the word "preliminary" in the report. White was unable to find it.
* Walgren asked White whether he had come up with any theories that did not place the blame squarely on MJ. White said he did not.
* White acknowledged he would have never agreed to administer Propofol as a sleeping aid ... saying, "no amount of money" could persuade him to do it.
* At one point, Judge Pastor interrupted White's testimony after White brought up two extensive conversations he had with Murray. Pastor had previously ruled those conversations were inadmissible. White hinted that Murray told him MJ had his own supply of Propofol...
* White said he believed Murray filled a syringe with 50 mg and after giving MJ 25mg, he left it half-filled in Jackson's bedroom.
* He said Jackson likely used that syringe to administer the fatal dose during the time Murray was out of the room.

E 'il momento formaggio svizzero nel processo di Conrad Murray ... perché l'accusa sta sparando per colpire tutti i buchi nella testimonianza di un esperto di Propofol che afferma che Michael Jackson si è auto-iniettata la dose fatale.

Il Dr. Paul White è tornato sul podio. Lui è il testimone finale della difesa.

Le dichiarazioni conclusive sono previste per questa settimana - allora è tutto alla giuria.

* Durante un interrogatorio aggressivo,il procuratore David Walgren ha detto al Dott. White di riconoscere che Murray deviato dallo standard di cura in cui MJ ha dato il Propofol.
* White ha detto che i pubblici ministeri che non hanno mai sentito parlare di somministrazione di Propofol a chiunque in un ambiente domestico.
* White ha detto che è stato "desiderabile" nel mantenere le cartelle cliniche, ma non crede che il fallimento di Murray nel tenere registri era una deviazione "estrema" dallo standard di cura.
* White ha dichirato che Walgren ha pagato 11 mila dollari per la sua testimonianza finora. Ha detto che il suo costo normale è 3.500 dollari al giorno.
* White ha detto di non aver alcun problema a lasciare un paziente al capezzale 15-30 minuti dopo aver dato loro una piccola dose di Propofol.
* White è d'accordo che non avrebbe lasciato la stanza se fosse stato il trattamento di un paziente che aveva indicato che gli piaceva fare iniezioni di Propofol.
* White ha detto che avrebbe chiamato il 911 ma chiamarlo prima non avrebbe fatto alcuna differenza in questo caso.
* In un momento particolarmente controverso, Walgren ha chiesto a White se Murray avesse l'obbligo di segnalare tutti i farmaci che ha somministrato a MJ. White ha detto a volte, in casi di emergenza, i dettagli sono "trascurati". Walgren poi ha chiesto se il Propofol è stato "un dettaglio che è stato trascurato?" White ha risposto: "Ovviamente è stato trascurato" ... Walgren colpo indietro, "Non è ovviamente ... Potrebbe anche essere una bugia." White ha riconosciuto che sì, è stato possibile.
* White ha testimoniato che egli rifiuta ormai la sua teoria iniziale che MJ può essere morto per aver bevuto Propofol.
* White ha detto che ha scritto che il parere in una relazione preliminare in 2 giorni. Walgren gli ha chiesto di trovare la parola "preliminare" nel rapporto. White è stato in grado di trovarlo.
* Walgren ha chiesto se White era venuto su con le teorie che non ha posto la colpa su MJ. White ha detto di no.
* White ha riconosciuto non avrebbe mai accettato di somministrare Propofol come sonnifero ... dicendo: "nessuna somma di denaro" potrebbe convincerlo a farlo.
* Ad un certo punto, il giudice Pastor ha interrotto la testimonianza di White dopo che ha citato conversazioni che aveva con Murray. Pastor aveva precedentemente deciso che quelle conversazioni erano irricevibili. White ha fatto capire che Murray gli ha detto MJ aveva il suo proprio rifornimento di Propofol ...
* White ha detto di ritenere che Murray ha riempito una siringa con 50 mg e dopo aver dato ad MJ 25mg, lo ha lasciato mezzo pieno nella camera da letto di Jackson.
* Ha detto che Jackson si sia iniettato la siringa usata per somministrare la dose fatale durante il tempo in cui Murray era fuori dalla stanza.
